Honey-Processed Bolivia Sol De La Mañana

Honey-Processed Bolivia Sol De La Mañana

Sometime in July 2023, the Starbucks Reserve Roastery in Seattle launched an exclusive Honey-Processed Bolivia coffee. I’m sorry but I don’t have very precise dates. I was there on July 31, 2023 and picked some up.

I looked at some of the previous Roastery-exclusive cards, and it really looks to me like Starbucks re-used the artwork from a previous 2021 Guatemala Geisha coffee offering. That seems really strange to re-use artwork from a different coffee, or perhaps my eyes deceive me. The artwork for a card usually has some significance in relationship to the coffee itself. But I don’t know the story behind this artwork, and why or how it is a good fit for both the 2021 Guatemala and this Honey-Processed Bolivia.

I notice that a recent Kenya Roastery-exclusive coffee used the same artwork as well. And the same artwork appears on this Sun Dried Hacienda Alsacia coffee.

while I understand re-using artwork on interations of the same coffee, it’s my opinion that the coffee artwork should speak to the specific coffee offering. I’d like to see Starbucks come up with something new!

Also, in 2021 there was a Bolivia Sol De La Mañana coffee offering but it was not a Roastery exclusive coffee nor was it honey processed.
