Colombia Cerro Azul Geisha Vareital Coffee - May 2020

The Seattle Reserve Roastery and Tasting Room re-opened to the public on Monday, May 18, 2020. Due to the pandemic, it is right now a take-out only format. The newest-release coffee appears to be Colombia Cerro Azul, launched on May 18, 2020, at the Seattle Roastery.

This same coffee was offered a year ago, though the card was a little different in 2019. The front of the card in the 2020 version now has the words “Geisha Varietal”. The 2019 version of the card did not have those words on the front of the card and instead had the words “Small Lot Coffee”.

One oddity about this coffee is that historically, it does not come to the Roastery in typical burlap coffee sacks. Rather it comes packaged in plastic, in boxes. I have no idea if 2020’s offering also came in plastic bags but it is a very unique way to package green coffee.
